Some of you might have heard some rumours about it already... and it’s true, we’re heavily working on our new album!
Since since 2,5 weeks already we’re in the studio, recording our next sword blow. Drums and most of the guitars are already nailed!

And as yet we are really, really satisfied. I mean really! :) We’ve decided to record our upcoming album in the famous Swiss Newsound studios, owned and run by none lesser than Coroner mastermind Tommy Vetterli (also Ex-Kreator and former live guitarist of Vodoo Cult)!

And so far it is hell of a pleasure to work with him, engeneering and recording the album! It’s great to profit of his enormeous experience (both, as producer/engeneer, as well as musician) on one hand, but also to work and have a good time with him as a very likeable and down-to-earth guy on the other hand.

And judging after how the so far recorded tracks sound, this album will definitely cleave your heads open!

The album will be mixed by the british soundforge god Colin Richardson (Behemoth, Machine Head, Kreator, Sepultura, Carcass, Slipknot, As I Lay Dying, Trivium and many more).

And this brings me to the next thing to mention: Yes, after an acoustic release we’re thoroughly up for a massive metal album again! So “Evocation I” kinda became the well known “calm before the storm”.

Some of the songs on this album I began to write quite a long time ago, some others developped in a very short time during the last couple of months. All in all I think that this album becomes our most dark and severe release so far - brimmed with mystical, convoluted and partly insanely fast celtic folk melody lines, but at the same time with pure, juggernautish metal. The album’s probably more ‘metal’ than any other release we did so far.

So stay tuned!

I wish all of you some great and pleasant autum weeks! We’ll be back with more news in a while... but for now I have to go ‘back to work’ and prepare some angry and nasty vocal recordings.

Finally some news again!

First of all we have to announce that in the CD press facory some things went wrong, the press master had some defects. So, the complete press master had to be fabricated again. Unfortunatly that entailed that the announced release date (april 11th) cannot be kept! We are sorry for these awkward circumstance.

The release of “Evocation I – the arcane dominion” is now officially set to april 17th (one week later).

But meanwhile we will already give you a foretaste on our acoustic album during our two upcoming shows:

We would like to make clear that this was in no way the decision of the band and that we all were looking forward to do this tour a lot. Also we are working on a replacement tour within 2009 where we'll hopefully also be able to play a special showcase featuring songs off our upcoming acoustic release "Evocation I: The Arcane Dominion" (due April 11th). We will be back for sure 'cause you guys truly rock and we did not forget the warm welcome we've received on Paganfest I & Death By Decibels!

We’re almost here for the second edition of PaganFest America and are very excited for this years tour. With the anticipation continuing to mount, this will be THE tour to attend this year, we promise! On a related note, there have been some changes to the tour line up. Unfortunately, Swiss folk band ELUVEITIE will no longer be able to make it on this edition and we’ve decided that it would be wiser to wait for the band to return in the fall since they’ve already played during PaganFest America 2008’s touring cycle. On the bright side, ELUVEITIE will return on a new tour we are currently working on (yes…we’re working on something very cool for this Fall) where ELUVEITIE will play an acoustic and a full metal set and it will be worth the wait. With this being said, we have increased the playing times of all the bands on PaganFest America and whether you come for your favorite or for all of the bands, you will get the set time you and the bands deserve!"

Finally again some news! The longer radio silence wasn't because we were lazy of course, but because we're terribly busy at the moment - heavily working on the production of our upcoming acoustic album Evocation I!

However: First of all we really apologize we had to cancel our appearance @ the Brainstorm Festival. Merlin's doing better again and we will for sure play the upcoming Rock'N'Iasi Festival in Romania!

Furthermore: Just last week we came back home from the Heidenfest tour… which turned out to be one of the most amazing tours we ever did. A tour together with awesome bands, awesome musicians and awesome friends - and on top absolutely great crowds!
It was a heathen FEAST for sure and from all our hearts we hail and thank:

And once again we'll hit the road of rock'n'roll!
While it was rumoured during the last few weeks and on diverse websites several concerts have been announced already, we’re happy we can now officially confirm it: We’ll travel through Canada and the USA again this year, before we’ll sally forth to lay waste Europe’s cities on the Heidenfest Tour 08 in November!

In late September we’ll gather together with our Canadian friends from Kataklysm, the Americans death metal & grindcore beasts Dying Fetus and melodic black metal whizkids Keep Of Kalessin from Norway to raid the “new world” again! On some dates, the US death metallers from Arsis will join the tour.
On our tour last may we had to cancel the Canada shows unfortunately – yet here we have a little “reparation” for our Canadian fans now: On the Death By Decibels Tour 2008 we’ll play the Canadian shows as co-headliner and bestow you a fat kick-ass set!

Soon Summerbreeze is here!
Summerbreeze is not just a great festival, which we're looking forward to play at again. But it will also be the premiere with our new line-up! The first show with Kay on bass and Päde on whistles and bagpipes!

You will also have the opportunity to sound the two fellas out, for on Friday the 15th of August between 4:00pm and 5:00pm we'll visit the booth of metal.de for a signing session! So don't forget to show up!

We're looking forward to a great fucking feast with all of you and also to once again see some familiar faces and drink some beers with you... until everything gets dark. ;)

During the last couple of weeks we received many applications for the two vacant positions in our band. We’d like to use this opportunity to thank all musicians who contacted us for their messages, efforts and interest in our band. We read all applications assiduously and thought a lot about the whole thing.

Now we are very pleased to announce that we have decided for two new band members! And we are as confident to have found two awesome musicians and as we’re proud and happy to introduce them to you:

Päde Kistler
Playing diverse kinds of bagpipes, as well as whistles and acoustic guitars, Päde is a multi-instrumentalist and especially an experienced piper! To some of you (especially the folk interested guys) Päde might not be unfamiliar: He used to proof his abilities as musician and also as disarming performer in the Swiss folk band Branâ Keternâ, where also Meri and Chrigel used to play. So we esteem Päde since a couple of years, both as great musician as well as a fantastic guy and friend.

Kay Brem
Being a long-time rock’n’roll bastard of the Swiss metal scene, Kay makes a very skilled bass player that will for sure kick your asses as hell. Kay formerly played with the Swiss metal machines Cataract and Tribes Of Caïn and honoured or rather ravaged countless stages all over Europe. As Päde, we also got to know and esteem Kay as a great musician and person quite a while ago.

Unfortunately we have bad news for you:

Due to an recent injury of our drummer Merlin we are forced to cancel our appearance at the "Rock am Härtsfeldsee". We'd like to apologize to our fans, to the organisators and everyone else involved. We only take measures like this in the worst possible case.

We wish all the visitors and organisators of the “Rock am Härtsfeldsee” even without us a supercool festival!

Merlin has to save himself at the moment, but he's on the mend. We'll play all further shows as announced. So, see you at Metalcamp!

After a long time playing together with us, Sevan (flute, whistles, bagpipes) and Rafi (bass) decided to leave Eluveitie. Both of them came to this desicion due to personal reasons.
Both, Sevan and Rafi, were longtime members. Sevan was with Eluveitie from the very beginning on. So their step was kind of a shock for us. Yet we also understand and accept their desicion. We won't forget the years we spent together and we wish Sevan and Rafi all the very best on their future musical as well as personal ways! "Thank you both for your dedication and for the time we spent together the last four years! Take care & horns raised!!!"

So we raise our horns to the Faroese Islands! ;) And we're glad we can also reward Týrs helpfullness: Since Týrs drummer Kári Streymoy isn't able to join the tour due to an injury, our thrashing bastard Merlin Sutter will step in and play with Týr accessorily during the US tour.

Two more shows for the US leg of our upcoming Paganfest-Tour have been confirmed: On the 3rd of May 2008 we'll play the Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom in Denver, Colorado and on May 14th the Crush Lounge in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Furthermore there's a little goodie for our french fans and everyone else that can make it to the Cernunnos Pagan Fest in Paris next Sunday - This very special Concert will be the first occasion ever (and the only one this year) to hear 3 brand new Songs live on Stage! Here you go with some news about our upcoming full lenght album Slania, to be released on 15th of February 2008 on Nuclear Blast Records!

First of all you may have noticed our websites brand new dress! This is a pretaste of what the new albums artwork will look like... Right these days graphic artist Manuel Vargas is about to accomplish the album cover, which we might reveal during the next few weeks.
Also you find a new rubric in the menu “band”: “new album”. Therein you’ll find further informations about Slania on a regulary basis. Beside it may be announced, that we’re finally be able to relaunch a proper forum soon!

Furthermore we can now reveal the tracklist of the new album:

Expect an album brimmed with the finest blend of mystical tunes of Celtic heritage and razing metal surges!

Great news we have for you these days! While being busy finishing up the production of Slania and working on our Evocation-concept, we still found the time to travel to Donzdorf in Germany for a few beers & a talk with the people of Nuclear Blast Records (nuclearblast.de / nuclearblastusa.com)...

Not only did they make us drunk as hell, but they also impressed us with a great artist roster, 20 Years of incredible work (happy birthday Nuclear Blast!) and their professional but still very "metal" staff.

So we did what had to be done - we came, we saw and we signed. We are looking forward to many years of great work together with one of the worlds biggest record companys in metal and are glad to announce that our new full-lenght record Slania will join the legions of legendary albums released by Nuclear Blast at FEBRUARY 15th, 2008!

Now you'll probably remember a news-entry of some weeks ago, telling you about Evocation I & II on Twilight Records... You remember right, and no: We weren't drunk. ;) But we are very happy that Twilight and Nuclear Blast decided to join forces, so Twilight will take care of our back-catalogue (Spirit is being re-released by Twilight these days & our first EP Vên will follow in Spring 2008 - check www.twilight-vertrieb.com!) while Evocation I (that's right: it's gonna be two full albums!) will be released through NB in Winter 2008.

We are very happy with where things were going now, and you can expect to hear a lot from us & about our new album within the next few weeks... stay tuned!

We are sorry for the long silence - the reason is we have been quite busy the last weeks, and here's the result:

Firstly we have to announce that the release of our album "Slania" will be delayed. It is now definitely postponed to next year!

But don't be disappointed, for we have some damn good reasons for this: As we notified good two months ago, we were also working on purely accoustic folk material. This project - originally intended as an MCD only - has grown into something much larger during the writing process, so we are happy and proud to announce that twilight records will release one complete full-length album brimmed with mystical celtic folk music as well as an additional MCD with some new waves of folk metal!

Both releases - belonging together conceptual - deal with ancient Gaulish mythology. Lyrically the songs dip from the source: Diverse ancient Gaulish texts that have been discovered as stone carvings, metal engravings, etc. These two conceptual releases are an in-depth voyage through the Celtic soul!

"Evocation I - The Arcane Dominion" (album) & "Evocation II - Visions" (MCD) are both to be released through twilight on the 15th of February 2008 and also include performances of several renowed guest-musicians - during the next weeks more will be revealed bit by bit. Stay tuned!

Here you go already with some first details of the Evocation artwork that is done by Manuel Vargas Lepiz, who has so far worked for artists like Mortiis, Fanoe and others. Enjoy!

Furthermore we can announce that twilight records will also re-release our current album Spirit within the next weeks. As some of you may have recognized Spirit has been sold out a few weeks ago and wasn't available anymore due to some unlucky circumstances. hereby we would like to thank the pople from fear dark records for their great work during the last years... Without you guys we wouldn't be where we are right now! We apologize to the ones of you that tried to get their hands on Spirit in during the last weeks.

On Saturday the 17th August we’ll play @ the Barther Metal Openair in Germany.

Right after that we’ll head for Sweden to start our recording works in the Fascination Street studio. Due to the travelling circumstances, we were unfortunately forced to leave very early on Saturday evening... and so we had to switch our show at the Barther Metal Openair to an earlier slot! We fortunately could change our slot with the German Death Metal band Golem , which would have played earlier. We really thank Golem as well as Heiko/BMOA for their flexibility!!!
So, now our show will start at 6 o’clock in the evening!
